We think the theme is confidence because know matter what someone told Sassy she believed in her self. Also because she believed in her self after Uncle Red came and cheer her up.Two more thing why we thought the theme is confidence one every dance class she went to she was upset about her difference but her grampa told her to apershat her difference in the class ,the second thing is when people were mean to her she had confidence for her self.That is why we think it is ok to be different.

I think the theme is confidence because she never stops believing in her self. My evidence is when the election came around she knew she would win and hade confidence that she would. Plus she had a good speech and worked hard. Also even know The person she was facing has won The spelling bee, science fair, and was captain of the soccer team , but she still had confidence in her self. Also at the beginning she thought girls could be president just like boys and that shows confidence. This book makes me think that girls can do anything at they're mind to it.

I think the theme is confidence because Abraham Linkoln had confidence that the north and south would stop fighting! He also had confidence that the nation would become one! When he kept on competing to be elected and he lost he had confidence that someday he will be elected, and he was.
The story makes me think the Abraham Linkoln also never gave up and he gave a great example, and we should follow that example.
